These beers will keep you cool this summer as the heat relentlessly rises: a crushable and salty gose, a uniquely drinkable stout, and a wild(ly) different beer with one of the most phenomenal noses I’ve experienced.
To Øl at De Proef Brouwerij Roses are Brett, Belgium
The core value of the De Proef Brewery is integrity, to strive for the cleanest most honest recipe development and production of beer. This is an Amber Saison using Cara Red, dry hopped with Citra and Saaz, fermented with Brettanomyces and then filled with Raspberries to enhance that red fruit color and flavor.
To Øl at De Proef Brouwerij Pineapple Express, Belgium
As always at To Øl we look to push our boundaries and find ways of balancing ingredients you classically wouldn’t find together, and this latest beer fits right into that category. We produced a 10% imperial stout, full of rich roasted dark malts, blended with fresh pressed coffee to further boost the rich roasted flavors, and then balanced it out with bright and zesty pineapple.
Sixpoint Brewery Jammer Gose, New York
A refreshing, tart brew balanced with a fruity coriander aroma and a touch of sea salt. Just tangy enough to tingle the tastebuds. Jacobsen Hand-Harvested Sea Salt is the best, cleanest, finishing salt you can buy. Just a kiss sets off the rest of the flavors of the beer. So Fresh!
